Adnoc restructuring accelerates

Abu Dhabi's state-owned Adnoc has unveiled plans to overhaul its financing strategy by adding debt, as part of efforts to restructure its business model for a lower oil price environment. "We are looking to optimise our balance sheet to free up capital for reinvestment, and improve our economics and returns," chief executive Sultan Ahmed al-Jaber says. The company is "considering various options" regarding its future financing strategy, he says.
