adnoc gas pipeline stake sale raises $10bn

Abu Dhabi’s state-owned Adnoc has secured the UAE’s largest energy infrastruc- ture investment deal, agreeing to sell a 49pc stake in its gas pipelines to a six-member investor consortium for $10.1bn. US-based Global Infrastructure Partners, Canada’s Brookfeld Asset Manage- ment, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC, Canada’s Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, South Korea’s NH Investment and Securities and Italy’s gas grid opera- tor Snam will collectively take the stake in new Adnoc unit Adnoc Gas Pipelines (AGP). Adnoc will hold the other 51pc, retain ownership of the pipelines, manage operations and be responsible for associated operational and capital expenditure.
