The Elcometer 415 Industrial Paint and Powder Thickness Gauge is specifically designed to meet those market needs and provides simple,fast and accurate coating thickness measurements on smooth and thin substrate coating applications.Fitted with a built-in integral probe,the gauge is available for measuring coatings on both ferrous and non-ferrous substrates.Ferrous(F)probes are suitable for the measurement of non-magnetic coatings,such as paints,varnishes,plastics,rubbers,etc.on ferro-magnetic substrates e.g.steel,magnetic stainless steel,cast iron,etc.Non-ferrous(NF)probes are suitable for non-conductive coatings on non-ferrous metals,such as aluminium,aluminium alloys,non-magnetic stainless steels,copper,zinc,etc.
