At its national convention and vendor showcase in Cincinnati, the Wallcovering Installers Association recognized innovative work completed by its members.Taking home first place in the Specialty category was a project from WIA member Michael Baughman that took more than a year to complete and required the dome, soffits and walls of a chapel to be covered in parachute cloth, painted and then surfaced with an adhesive. The end result was a breathtaking room that honors the chapel’s history and mission. In the Small Spaces category,Baughman triumphed again for his work on a custom home theater. The room incorporates leather wallcoverings that required special blades and cleaning protocols to manage.
