Cobots, or collaborative robots, are a hot topic in the industrial environment. According to Loup Ventures, the share of collaborative robots is expected to increase to 17 percent of the total sales of manufacturing robots by 2025. As a result, the cobot market is expected to grow beyond ￡5.56 billion over the next five years. Therefore, in order to stay competitive, companies must develop new innovative robotics concepts that provide flexible production lines where manufacturing layouts can be easily adapted to changing customer requirements.
