National Dealers’Association Organized at Chicago Delegates Representing Over 500 Tire Dealers Sponsor New Body Having for Its Aim Cooperation Between Dealers,Manufacturers and Consumers

With a policy decidedly conservative and constructive as a working basis,the National Tire Dealers’Association was organized at a convention of dealers in Chicago,January 31,February 1 and 2.Tom Whitehead,of Chicago,was elected president of the new body,while other officers and directors were so selected that the personnel of the executive offices of the association represent as widely separated sections of the country as possible.From the very opening of the convention,the gathering of dealers was marked with keen enthusiasm and a desire to arrive at a point where closer cooperation between the tire dealers,the tire manufacturers and the ultimate tire users could be assured.According to the officers,the resolutions adopted during the course of the three-day session reflect the sentiments of the new organization in regard to its position in the tire industry.At first,it is held,it is the intention of the national association to place its own branch of the industry upon a better general standard before any attempts are made to present recommendations or grievances to others in the business.
