Build the Microbridge a cheap universal PIC32 programmer combined with a USB/serial converter

The Micromite microcontroller, which has featured many times on our pages, requires a USB/serial converter to load, edit and run the program (unless you purchased a preprogrammed chip). We previously recommended devices based on the CP2102 for this job. They are cheap and convenient yet you still needed a PIC32 programmer so that you could update the Micromite firmware.
