PLASMA TORCH HAS QUICK-DISCONNECT DESIGN

The Cutmaster 58 handheld air-plasma cutting system from the Thermal Dynamics subsidiary of ESAB (Annapolis Junction, Md.) now comes with the quick-disconnect SL60 QD ltorch. It can pierce 5/8-inch-thick mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum, and it has a maximum sever capacity of 1.25 inches, the company says. The quick-disconnect design allows users to replace either the torch handle or the cable instead of having to replace the entire unit if a component wears out, Thermal Dynamics says.
