More bearish sentiment and uncertainty over trade measures has limited buying interest in most global steel markets at the start of 2019 as buyers have been reluctant to stock up in the New Year. Export prices for Turkish rebar were steady to start the week Monday, with no fresh bids or offers heard across trading floors. Sentiment in the market has turned more bearish by renewed quotas imposed by the European Commission, in addition to increasing tension between Turkey and the US.
