Small-Flowered Phalaenopsis:Part 1: The Miniature Multiflorals

HYBRIDIZING WITH THE small-flowered phalaenoDSis dates back to the 1880s. They received little attention, however, until a century later when several new hybrids were produced that caught the attention of the orchid-growing community, which was captivated by their profusion of small blooms. Starting at that time, efforts to produce small-flowered hybrids greatly increased and have continued to this day, though the goals of hybridizing efforts have shifted.
