Field Upgrading— DSU technology

Field Upgrading plans to complete a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study on a modular large-scale 2,500-bbl/d demonstration plant for its DSU technology. The technology uses molten sodium to significantly reduce the levels of sulphur, metals, acid and asphaltenes in heavy oil feedstocks, including oilsands bitumen, without emitting greenhouse gases or leaving coke or asphaltenes behind.
