Horizontal wells, metres drilled on the upswing

While the 12,000 wells predicted by the Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) in its spring update are modest compared to boom times seven or eight years ago, the percentage of horizontal wells keeps climbing, as do the total metres drilled. In its second update to the 2013 Canadian drilling activity forecast, the PSAC forecasted a slight increase in Canadian drilling for the year.
