EPDM rubber has a proven track record of more than 50 years, which has resulted in today's availability of more than 200 grades within a broad window of Mooney viscosity, ethylene and diene content. From the polymer architecture point of view, EPDM offerings have been traditionally defined by the capabilities of the Ziegler Natta catalysts and process. However, the scope of polymer architectures expanded in 1997 with the appearance of metal-locene catalysts, and today with advanced molecular catalysts (AMC) and state-of-the-art solution process technology.
