Tenebrionidae (Coleoptera) of the Khnifiss Lagoon National Park, South Morocco

The Sahara is the largest desert in the world, spanning many regions and including a high diversity of landscapes (McGinnies et al. 1977). The faunal assemblages of large areas of the Sahara are still poorly known. Even in some relatively well-surveyed regions, e.g. northwestern Sahara (Pierre 1959; Joly et al. 1954) and the coastal region of western Sahara, very little is known yet about the insect fauna.
