Mitsubishi Shipbuilding has christened Mitsui & Co.’s LNG carrier the Marvel Heron, which will go into service transporting LNG from the Cameron LNG terminal.

The 79,000-ton Marvel Heron is the second vessel in its class and can hold 177,000 cubic meters of LNG. The Cameron LNG project currently has an export capacity of 4 million tons per year (0.57 billion cubic feet per day) with Train 1. Freeport LNG has also added Total Holdings as its newest customer after Total completed its takeover of Toshiba Corporation's LNG portfolio, including its 20-year, 2.2 million ton per year tolling agreement with Freeport LNG commencing upon commercial operation of Freeport LNG's Train 3 in the second quarter 2020.
