Guest editor's introduction: Special issue on signal processing and electronic circuit design for next generation communication systems (Editorial)

摘要

The development of communication systems is driven on thetechnological side with novel concepts such as cognitive radio, soft-ware defined radio, MIMO, beamforming, and advanced electroniccomponent design. This special issue aims to address the noveltiesand trends in those diverse areas, however with the common goal ofdesigning the next generation communication systems with higherperformance, more optimal energy/spectrum usage, and enrichedvariety of applications.
