Libyan HBI market: suppliers manage to scale up prices

HBI suppliers from Libya have managed to increase prices for the material; the increase even exceeded theirexpectations by $20-25/t amid rapidly growing quotations of scrap in November. Thus, latest deals for delivery ofLibyan HBI have been closed at $385-390/t FOB, by $30/t higher than in late October. Exporters offered thematerial at $360-370/t FOB in the first half of November, but then they lifted the price level on the back of the leapin scrap quotations in Turkey. Notably, import scrap has gained $20-30/t depending on county of origin, over thelast month.
