Time-charter rates for small vessels have not changed much in the ?zov-BlackSea basin and the Mediterranean Sea in late January. Trading has been rising in theregion, available fleet still being overabundant. After the weather conditions worsenedin some ports of Ukraine and Russia, owners of L2 or higher ice class ships havebeen striking deals at rates almost $500/day above the average market level. TheMediterranean Sea market will barely face major changes in early February; timecharterrates for ice class vessels will keep crawling up in the Azov and Black Seas.
