Handling, not managing, others

Managing high quality projects within a tight time restriction, and in adverse, unpredictable environmental conditions—such as during a war, or following unexpected incidents—requires more than the word "managing" implies. It requires access to the decision-making part of the minds of the staff, simultaneously presenting such a bright image of the final goal that it secures their devotion. The last word means much more than abiding by working hours. It leads them to be careless of bodily fatigue and financial gain in their quest of achieving the required goal quality in the prescribed, or an even shorter, time. The manager must set up himself as an example; at the same time taking upon himself the welfare of the staff.
