According to an announcement made by the Japan Aluminium Association, total demand for aluminum products in Japan for 2019 came to 4,182,610 tons, down 2.5% year on year. Domestic demand registered a 1.9% year on year decrease to 3,987,313 tons and exports dropped 12.9% to 195,297 tons.
