DEMAND OUTLOOK FOR SECONDARY ALUMINUM AND SECONDARY ALUMINUM ALLOYS IN FY 2020 (April 2020 - March 2020)

The Japan Aluminium Alloy Refiners Association announced its demand estimate for FY 2019 (April 2019-March 2020) and demand outlook for FY 2020 (April 2020-March 2021) for secondary aluminum and secondary aluminum alloys. It is expected that demand for FY 2019 will fall 4.9% from FY 2018 to 1,575,600 tons due to decrease in demand for key automotive castings and die castings attributed to decline in overseas production by domestic car manufacturers caused by slowdown in economies abroad.
