USDA CUTS FUEL ETHANOL, SME PRODUCTION OUTLOOKS

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) lowered its projection for 2018/19 (Sep/Aug) corn use for fuel ethanol from its preceding July report by 25 mln bushels (1 bu=25.4 kg) to 5.425 bln (2017/18: 5.605 bln). At the same time, the outlook for 2019/20 was cut to 5.475 bln bu from 5.500 bln.
