Cobalt prices have skyrocketed over the past 18 months. Prices for cobalt metal hit their highes tlevels in ten years in H1 2018,reaching over USS 90,000/t on the LME. Prices remained in anarrow range between 2012 and 2016, averaging around USS 13/b. In the first quarter of 2017 there was an enormous uptick and prices increased quarter-on-quarter to reach US$32/b by Q4.
