Metal building, IMPs house ice rink

Banwell Architects' design for Jacobson Arena at New Hampton School in New Hampton, N.H., was driven by its program, architectural language of other buildings on campus, budget and future use. The facility is a fully enclosed and temperature-regulated hockey arena with a warming lobby overlooking the ice. The ice surface and support spaces are in one large mass under a main roof, which is how the architectural language of the building affirms the program.
