摘要

A thermal-visional computer system was evaluated as a means of detecting levels of soil contamination. A liquid fuel base in Grabowno Wielkie, near Wroclaw in Poland, was used to test the system. Aerial thermal and colour video images were obtainedat a height of 500 m: the video image had a simultaneous indicator verification in the area. Quantitive data on the contamination were obtained by means of a KVA sounder. The amount of hydrocarbons in the air was determined using Kitagawa and Drager detector tubes. The method of thermography for this kind of research was successful. By taking into account comparative emissivities, a higher actual temperature was recorded for the contaminated area as compared to the site free from contamination.
