Construction financing for FCE project at US Navy Groton sub base

In Connecticut, Danbury-based FuelCell Energy has signed a $23 million construction financing facility with new banking partner Fifth Third Bank, to finance the construction, installation, and commissioning of the 7.4 MW molten carbonate fuel cell power plant at the US Navy Submarine Base in Groton. The initial draw amount under this facility, funded at closing, was approximately $10 million.
