摘要

With U.S. oil and natural gas imports declining and record domestic production expected, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) is predicting a slight reduction in gas prices and higher oil prices in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) compared with the June forecast. In the July 10 STEO, EIA noted that Brent crude oil prices dipped $3/barrel during June to average $74/barrel. It is forecasting Brent prices to average $73/barrel for the second half of 2018, with West Texas Intermediate (WTI) averaging $67/barrel for the remainder of 2018. WTI is expected to average $62/barrel in 2019.
