EQT Corp. to Sell 2.5 Million Non-Core Acres in Huron Play for $575 Million

On June 29, EQT Corp. announced that it has agreed to sell 2.5 million non-core, net acres in the Huron Play in Southern Appalachia for $575 million cash to Diversified Gas and Oil PLC. EQT said it will retain deep drilling rights in the acreage, and that the sale relives it of $200 million of liabilities associated with the assets. EQT expects the sale to close in late July, subject to customary closing conditions.
