Appalachian Oil and Gas Developers Are Starring in Platts' October Conference

Platts is accepting registration for its Appalachian Gas Conference, scheduled for October 29-30, 2008, to be held at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center, in Pittsburgh, Pa. The status of Appalachian gas reserves will be reviewed by Terry Engelder, Professor of Geosciences at the Pennsylvania State University, and representatives of Anadarko, Dominion, and EXCO will elucidate the perspectives of producers on this potential natural gas and oil supply source buried in shale. North Coast and Range Resources will evaluate opportunities, timelines, leases, technology, and investment and gas prices required. Dominion, National Fuel Gas, NiSource, Spectra, and Tennessee are slated to provide a survey of pipeline infrastructure requirements to make the resources available to markets.
