NGSA Supports Putting a Price on Carbon; Details to be Fleshed Out Over Time

Reflecting a unanimous view among its members and a step toward embracing a lower carbon future, the Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA) announced support for a price on carbon, becoming the first gas industry trade group to do so. Other industry trade groups may follow, NGSA President and CEO Dena Wiggins said during a media breakfast December 3. Every trade association has to figure out where they stand on carbon pricing and climate change issues, Wiggins said, referencing some producers leaving other groups because of stances on climate change or emissions policies.
