MEXICO: Mexican Health Commission Backs Nutrition Warning Label Regulation

In July 2019 Mexico's Health Commission approved a draft proposal to bring in front-of-pack nutrition warning labels and mandatory fortification in a bid to tackle obesity and malnutrition in the country. On July 24 July 2019 the Health Commission of the Chamber of Deputies approved the draft opinion that proposed bringing in front-of-pack warning nutrition labels, like those already in force in Chile and Peru.
