Two major polyester resin suppliers have recently introduced new products that are capable of significantly reducing powder curing temperatures and oven dwell times. Conventional thermoset powder coatings require temperatures ranging from 160 to 200°C and about 10 to 15 minutes at, or above these temperatures. Low temperature cure can be defined as 160°C and below with sometimes lower dwell times.
