Ivory tower activism behind latest food system report

THE Jan. 27 release of the paper "The Global Syn-demic of Obesity, Undernutrition & Climate Change: The Lancet Commission Report" provides another serving of alarmist activism orchestrated by the agenda-driven "ivory tower" superiorites.Ironically, the paper seeks to make the case for a global "Framework Convention on Food Systems" in part due to the failure of the U.N. and the World Health Organization (WHO) to address the growing global obesity epidemic. The paper's headline reads, "The Global Syndem-ic Represents the Paramount Health Challenge for Humans,the Environment & Our Planet in the 21st Century."
