The most popular makes reported were Simplicity, Flexi-Coil, Morris, Horwood Bagshaw, John Deere and Bourgault, these brands made up over three quarters ofTriple bins were the most common configuration accounting for 60 per cent of all air carts less than ten years old. While triple-bins are also the most common configuration for older carts, cart capacity is growing. Of the total sample, the average total cart capacity was around 9,550L, but looking at air carts purchased in the last five years, the average capacity had grown to 14,300L.
