Breeders' Discussion from Social Media:ALWAYS THE BRIDESMAID?

This was a phrase I heard at the Federation show here in the UK. It was in relation to a particular size of breed always winning favour as breed club champion and being able to compete for further honours, with the counterpart always stopping at'best opposite size.' Is it just because some breeds are better in one size or are judges afraid to break with tradition and do something different? Fanciers on social media let me know their thoughts!
