This makes sense: The milk, coming directly from the cows, is being processed on the spot. The manure, also produced on the spot, goes into a biogas plant. Then, the gas is conveyed via piping into the dairy plant, in order to generate power and heatin block-type thermal power stations [BTTP]. This energy covers a part of the base load requirement of the milk processor. After fermentation, the solid residue, with a high nitrogen availability, is used as fertiliser in the agricultural sector. Here, we do not have to face the problems of untreated manure. Looking across the Danish border, it is good to see how economically this bond is created thanks to the efficient Aerzen blower technology used for the gas transport.
