Labor Department Releases Survey on 20th Anniversary of Family & Medical Leave Act

Last month marked the 20th anniversary of President Bill Clinton signing into law the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). It was the first piece of legislation he signed into law after becoming president. The FMLA applies only to employers, including ILMA members, with 50 or more employees within a 75-mile radius and people who have worked at their current employer for at least one year and 1,250 hours within the past year.
