2019: the year to accept the 50 per cent recycled challenge

Last year Electrical Times was one of the first magazines to break the story that leading cable management manufacturer Marshall-Tufflex was calling on the industry - electrical contractors, their customers and product specifiers - to drive up environmental credentials by using trunking solutions with a minimum of 50 per cent recycled material. Since then the British producer has discussed the initiative with influencers throughout the sector and encouraged its specification, contracting and wholesaling partners to join it in working towards substantially reducing the amount of recyclable plastic being sent to landfill. Marshall-Tufflex's ultimate goal is for every specification to state that the cable management solution is 50 per cent recycled plastics or more.
