Intressanta fynd av storfjarilar (Macrolepidoptera) i Sverige 2017

This is the 45th consecutive annual report on interesting finds and new provincial records of Macrolepidoptera in Sweden. Two species are new to the Swedish fauna, the moth Car-adrina albina, a migrant found in the province Gastrikland, and the moth Noctua tenia, a sibling species, closely related to Noctua janthina and also a migrant now found in the province Skane and on the Baltic island Gotland. The number of Macrolepidoptera found in Sweden now is 1122, of which 16 are introduced. Like in the previous year, this list also show examples of a number of species drastically expanding northwards due to the changing climate, like Apatura iris, Araschnia levana, Ipimorpha subtusa and Rhyacia simulans. Migrants as Agrius convolvuli, Macroglossum stellatarum, Hyles euphorbiae, Hyles livor-nica, Rhodometra sacraria, Orthonama obstipata, Horisme corticata, Catocala elocata, Helicoverpa armigera, Spodoptera exigua, Mythimna vitellina, Peridroma saucium and Nycteola asiatica, were also found this year. Eighty-nine new provincial records are also reported here.
