The genus Scydmobisetia Jaioszynski & Yamamoto, 2016 in Upper Cretaceous Burmese amber (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Scydmaeninae)

Two new species of the extinct genus Scydmobisetia Jaioszynski & Yamamoto, S. loebli n. sp. and S. mengjiae n. sp., are described from mid-Cre-taceous Burmese amber. Both new species can be readily distinguished from their sole congener, 5. velutissima Jaioszynski & Yamamoto, by their different body size, proportions of the antennomeres, and modifications of legs in the male. The sex of the holotype of S. vetutissima is briefly discussed, and a supplementary description of this species is provided. An identification key to species of Scydmobisetia is presented. Our finding highlights the diversity of a poorly-known group of Scydmaeninae during the late Mesozoic.
