Harwell and Heriot-Watt to establish new research hubs

Science hub Harwell Campus is callingfor UK energy innovators to join the organisation in establishing a new’Technical Living Laboratory’at the Oxfordshire site.The aim is to allow new technologies to be piloted in a working environment,embedded into the on-site infrastructure at the campus.Here,both major corporates and emerging energy companies could test new technologies using world-leading research and technical facilities,such as the UK's only synchrotron,the Diamond Light Source,says Harwell.By collaborating with the 6,000 strong community of engineers,scientists,entrepreneurs and business leaders,risk can be shared and subsequently reduced,whilst time to market is accelerated.
