A Report on the UEIL Annual Congress

Shortly before leaving for the UEIL Congress in Madrid, I received a picture via text of a view overlooking the pool at the Hyatt at Indian Wells. It looked something like this: That didn't make the option to forego our Annual Meeting any easier. Missing the opportunity to see old...um...let's make that longtime friends, network and gain information about our industry was a difficult decision. As I have said in past columns, the UEIL Congress is quite different from ours. So why go? What's to be gained by enduring ten hours of flight time and six time zones each direction?
