Tassie trial explores how battery owners interact with smart technology

Research into how electricity customers can take charge of their energy use through batteries, while simultaneously being rewarded for helping manage the electricity grid, has received federal funding. The Australian Renewable Energy Agency has awarded $2.9 million in funding to Consort, a collaborative research project involving Australian National University (ANU), University of Sydney, University of Tasmania (UTAS), battery control software business Reposit Power, and network provider TasNetworks.
