US refners raised gasoline yields, cut distillates

US refners brought gasoline yields back to near pre-pandemic levels in June, while taking a step back from eforts in May to minimize jet fuel and maximize distillates amid lagging demand. US refners cut distillates yields down to 32pc in June this year, down from 35.6pc in May, data from the US Energy Infor-mation Administration (EIA) show. But yield was still up from the 29.6pc year-ago level as refners continued to avoid making too much jet fuel.
