China’s coking coal imports fall

China’s coking coal imports fell in May as rising prices on a cfr basis deterred buying interest. But imports so far this year remained above government targets. China imported 5.91mn t of coking coal last month, down by 20pc from April and by 2.5pc from a year earlier, Chinese customs data show.
