Profts fall for Bahrain’s Alba on lower prices

State-controlled Aluminium Bahrain’s (Alba) profts fell by 25pc on the year to 10.7mn dinar ($28.4mn) in the third quarter as low London Metal Exchange (LME) aluminium prices continued to drag on revenue. LME prices were 14pc lower on the year in the quarter, while delivery premiums fell on thin demand.
