Repsol's refineries run slower in second quarter

Spanish integrated Repsol's refineries reduced their utilisation rates in the second quarter from the first. A 40-day stoppage at its 180,000 b/d Tarragona complex had the largest impact and reduced the firm's ability to take advantage of improved refining margins over the period. Repsol's refining margin indicator increased to $7.2/bl in the second quarter from $6.6/bl in the first and was sharply higher than the $6.2/bl reported in the second quarter of 2017, according to provisional data.
