Economic expansion has peaked in many major economies and risks to growth are mounting in advanced and emerging countries because of trade disputes, rising oil prices and a stronger dollar, the IMF said on 16 July. The US administration has imposed tariffs on and drawn retaliation from its major trading partners, China, the EU, Canada and Mexico.
