Scheduled refnery maintenance in Asia-Pacifc is expected to peak in the second quarter, following a tight frst quarter, when stocks were depleted by strong seasonal demand and unexpected shutdowns. An average of 1mn-1.4mn b/d of refning capacity is expected to be shut in Asia-Pacifc in April-June, up to 50pc more than the amount shut in during the previous quarter.
