The UAE port of Khalifa will be expanded to accommodate Capesize dry bulk vessels. The work by UAE state-owned Abu Dhabi Ports (ADP) and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA), which is owned by the investment vehicles of the UAE and Dubai, will make Khalifa the first Mideast Gulf port capable of handling the vessel class, according to EGA.
